Da Vero Organic Catarratto

Sicily’s warm, dry climate is ideal for organic cultivation, so is a great source of good, affordable organic wines. The Da Vero wines ('davvero' meaning ‘really’ or ‘naturally’ in Italian) are the result of our long relationship (over 10 years) with a cooperative in Sicily.

Sicily's warm, dry climate is made for organic farming, and this is a lovely example of what comes out of it. Grown on chalky soils at 500m altitude, between Marsala and Palermo, the vines are certified organic. Fermented and matured in stainless steel to keep things clean and fresh. Bright citrus, fennel and florals on the nose, with grapefruit, lemon and a tangy, mineral finish on the palate. If you like a dry, crisp Italian Pinot Grigio, you'll love this.
